Our Story
At Mimi's Handmade Ice Cream, every scoop tells a story. Founded by Rollin Amore, Mimi's began as a lifelong dream inspired by cherished family traditions, rich cultural influences, and adventures traveling around the world.
Here at Mimi’s, we believe ice cream should be more than a dessert—it should be an experience. That's why we create fun, unique flavors handcrafted in small batches with all-natural, highest quality and locally sourced ingredients, creativity, and plenty of love. From classic favorites to unexpected flavor combinations, our passion is making a little something for everyone.
After opening our flagship store in Westport, Arlington in 2022, the overwhelming support from our customers inspired us to expand beyond our original store. For our second location, founder Rollin Amore partnered with Carlos and Natalie Gonzaga, Beth Frank and Warren Blinder, two Montgomery County families, to bring Mimi’s to Rockville, Maryland. As demand continued to grow, we opened two additional locations: one at The Clarksburg Outlets—our very first franchised store—and another in The Mosaic District in Virginia.
Today, Mimi’s continues to share handcrafted ice cream, unique flavors, and unforgettable experiences with communities across the DMV. We're proud to share the flavors, memories, and joy that inspired our journey—one handmade scoop at a time.
